watercolor
I'm posting a few of my older paintings
since I'm in the process of painting our
house. Winter will be here before I know
it and we have to get it done this year.
This painting was done during a Ted Nuttall
workshop a few years ago. It was his workshop
that really sparked my interest in portraits.

Wonderful watercolor
Thanks Fernando! Learned alot in that
workshop.
I can see the (good) Ted Nuttall influence in your work, I took a workshop from him as well. Your colors are wonderful and so are your faces.
Thanks Mimi! He was an excellent teacher and has a fun workshop!
This one reminds me of Fook's paintings a few years back when she took a class from him every week in Scottsdale, really soft features. I never could quite get that soft look.
Loved the workshop non the less.
Great portrait Susan. Just about everyone I know who's taken his workshop has gotten a very good start on this style, he must be a great teacher.
Nick...Ted is a great teacher, who knows his craft well and takes you step by step thru his painting style and knowledge of being a watercolor artist. I would say that he teaches more by the "spirit" then by showing and doing. I can explaing this in detail if you would like. Then on the last day explained the how and whys of his "sloppy dots". He also brought in his acoustic guitar to play and sang two song that he wrote.
