Burnt Out

oil on hardboard 6" x 6"

I haven't done an oil painting for quite awhile
and did this one as a daily painters challenge
of zippo lighters. The only colors we could use
was ultramarine blue, burnt sienna, and white.
The hardest part was painting in those air vent
in the lighter, had to redo them three times
before I was ok with it.
Also working on two watercolors when I have time.

Naked

oil 8" x 10"

An oil painting I've been working on since
this past spring. Still need to tweak some
areas of the painting. This painting was
inspired by those dreams of being naked
and in the "spotlight" and being exposed
and feeling very vulnerable.

"Red Peppers"

watercolor 8" x 10"

Playing with the composition of cast
shadows and the subject. May paint
a series of peppers to learn to paint
cast shadows that glow.

E-mail to purchase.

"Three Radishes"

pastel on suede matte board 8" x 10"
Suede matte board is a fun surface to work
on with pastel. It holds the pastel better
than pastel paper and holds many layers
of color.

"Radishes"

8" x 10" watercolor on watercolor canvas
hardboard

I am willing to try new products, but struggled
with this painting on watercolor canvas. I will
stick with the more reliable watercolor paper.
